The Park in Wellington

The Park in Wellington

park in wellington

This little park in Wellington is one of my favourite places in Prince Edward County. It's especially fun if you happen to have a couple of kids in tow. Alas, my kids are a little too old to enjoy the park now, but when I'm in the area I still do stop the car and remember all the grand times we had here. It's really just a simple old-fashioned playground where kids can still run around and use their imaginations.

The equipment is always well maintained and the fact that the park overlooks Lake Ontario makes it a pleasant place for parents to sit and watch the kids play. Sometimes it's fun to participate as well. One of the play structures is built like an old fashioned ship, and my son and I used to practice our pirating skills here. Yarrrrrr.

There is a washroom in the park which is always well maintained, so you won't have to worry about the kids needing to pee. Wellington is one of those communities that has a tremendous pride in itself, and this park is a shining example of that.

It might be difficult rounding everybody up afterwards though.
