When deciding which Real-Estate company I was going to work for, Re/max naturally came to mind because of its prominence in the market. A lesser known aspect of the Remax  brand is its affiliation with The Children's Miracle Network. Since 1992, Re/max associates have raised over $65 million for this most worthwhile cause. A portion of every sale that I'm involved with, whether I'm the buying or selling agent, goes directly to this cause. Re/max is the exclusive Real-Estate sponsor of The Children's Miracle Network, and it's just one of the many reasons that I'm proud to be a Re/max associate. I am forever indebted to The Hospital For Sick Children in Toronto for the work that they do and the care that they gave my son when he was born prematurely in Toronto in 1993. I am very fortunate to be able to give a little bit back.

Here is a list of the hospitals associated with this great cause;

Janeway Children's Hospital Foundation St. John's

I.W.K. - Health Centre Foundation Halifax

Children's Health Foundation London

Sick Kids Foundation

McMaster Children's Hospital

If your own life has been touched in a similar way by one of these facilities, this might be a very good reason to consider using a Re/max agent to assist you with your home-buying needs.

Another partnership which is close to my heart is the one I have with World Vision Canada. As well as having been a child sponsor for many years, I'm involved in their Life Change Network as a public speaker and presenter as well as being a Special Events Volunteer. Sometimes it can be very easy to take the fantastic quality of life that the Quinte area offers for granted, and my partnership with World Vision helps to remind me that we live in a very special corner of the world.

World Vision is a very special organization. Year after year it ranks among the top  organizations when it comes to financial responsibility and monetary stewardship. In 2008, an astounding 82.5 cents out of every dollar raised went directly to the intended cause. One of the core values of World Vision is "a hand up, not a hand-out". Once again, I find myself incredibly fortunate to have witnessed first-hand some of the amazing work that this dedicated organization does in alleviating the poverty in the world that seems incomprehensible when compared to the blessings that we have here in the Quinte area.

If you have ever thought of sponsoring a child or ordering something from the World Vision Gift Catalogue, do not hesitate to call me so that I can share my experiences with you.
