Hoards Station Real Estate

Hoards Station Real Estate

Hoards station is a small community in Northumberland County, just a couple of minutes west of the Hastings/Northumberland county line on County Road 8.

You will pass through Hoards Station when you're driving from Stirling to Campbellford, but if you blink too long it's possible that you'll miss it. It's a very peaceful place and what many people would consider an old fashioned farming community.

Hoards station is home to the Hoards station Sale Barn, which is the only three ring auction market for livestock in this part of Ontario. It's quite something to go and see the auctions that take place every Tuesday at noon. One of the best things about going and seeing the auction is that there's a home cooked meal provided by a different church group every week. It's quite the atmosphere, and if you're looking for something to do on a Tuesday, come on out and have a look for yourself, just make sure you don't go home with a dairy cow unless you have an extra seat in your vehicle. The Sale Barn also doubles as a flea market, so there's quite a bit to do and see. If you are curious about how versatile denim can be as an article of clothing, then this is the place for you.

The local Restaurant, Chubby's is the perfect place to make a pit stop when you're driving on County road 8, the only problem being that the food is so good that you might leave a little bit chubbier than when you walked in the door. There's also a convenience store that has an awesome array of Nestle ice cream products and a farm depot store

The Trans Canada trail  passes through Hoards station, so many hikers and bikers might be familiar with the name as well.
